2.0 Why we Collect your Personal Data
We collect your Personal Data for one or more of the following purposes:
- To provide you with a quote for the services you request
- To contact you if you raise an inquiry with us, via our “Contact us” page
- To refer your enquiry and/or quotation request to one of our third party vendors
- To send marketing communications
- To provide you with information that you request
- To call you to further discuss your quote
- To share with our third-party partners for their marketing purposes.
- To conduct Identity verification(“ID”) and Anti-Money Laundering(“AML”) checks, which will be done by a third-party supplier. For this, we provide your full name, date of birth, contact information, and nationality to them. They will then carry out the checks and send us the results.
3.0 Lawful Basis of Processing Data
We collect and process Personal Data about you when the law allows us to, such as when:
- the data subject (you) has given consent to the processing activity taking place, or
- the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract, or
- the processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject, or
- the processing in necessary for the purpose of the legitimate interest pursued by us or our partners.

4.0 What Information we Collect and where from
We collect information from you when you communicate with us, request a quote from us, or use any of our services. During any of these interactions, we may ask you to provide us with information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personal Data that we may collect, store and use include:

- Date of birth
- Contact number
- Email address
- Nationality
- Current address (including postcode)
- Transaction address (including postcode)
- Purchasing history information if you are an existing customer
- Audio recordings of phone calls
- ID and AML results
4.1 Special Category Data
For the purposes of conducting ID and AML checks, The Moving Hub will use the services of a third party supplier who will collect the following special category data from you directly:
- Nationality
- Biometric data (face matched information)
- Identification documents
- Proof of address documents
The Moving Hub will only store your special category data in the form of ID and AML check results.
We will only process special category data where we have an Article 9 exception allowing us to do so, in this case, the processing is necessary for fraud prevention.
4.2 Third Party Collection of Personal Data
In addition to the above, we may also collect Personal Data from third parties, including those from whom you receive a quotation for our services, or from third-party service providers who perform ID and AML checks on our behalf.
5.0 How long we keep Data for
The Moving Hub retains your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
6.0 Security of Personal Data
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Your Personal Data is securely stored on dedicated hosted servers within an ISO27001 certified tier-3 data centre in the UK, which is also SSL secure.
We will ensure your data is secured in accordance with our obligations under the UK’s data protection laws. We have in place technical and organisational measures to ensure data is secure and to prevent your Personal Data from being accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. We also have a robust access control policy in place which limits access to your Personal Data to those employees, contractors and other third parties who only have a business need to know.

9.0 Failure to provide Personal Data
Where we need to process Personal Data to comply with a legal obligation, process your instructions, or perform a contract we have with you and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to carry out your instructions or perform the contract we have or are trying to enter with you. In this case, we may have to cancel our engagement or the contract you have with us but, we will notify you if this is the case at the time.

12.1 Sharing of Personal Data with Third Parties for marketing purposes
As part of our services, The Moving Hub will share your Personal Data with selected partners for marketing purposes. This will include the data that you provide to us when completing the form on our website, or during interactions with our designated affiliates and service providers. For further information on the Personal Data categories we collect, please refer to section 4 of this policy.
We want to ensure you that we take all necessary safeguards to protect your data during this process. These safeguards are implemented to ensure the security and confidentiality of your Personal Data, in compliance with the applicable laws, including GDPR and PECR.
The data we collect from our third-party provider for identification documents and Anti Money Laundering will not be shared with any third parties for marketing purposes.

13.0 Transfers Outside Of The EEA and UK
The Moving Hub does not share any Personal Data outside of the EEA however, should this change, any Personal Data transferred will be treated with the highest security standards to protect as required by the Data Protection laws.
Should Personal Data be transferred outside of the EEA to a country without an adequacy decision, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place prior to the transfer. These could include:
